Hi, I’m Susan. If you’re new to watercolors and looking for some guidance with supplies and how to get some paint onto paper, then this page is for you.
My approach to helping you is simple: share my experiences, show my mistakes, lead by example, and never stop learning.
First, you’ll need the right supplies
With so many choices, getting the right supplies can be overwhelming.

If you want to ease into painting…
If you’re not quite ready to do a painting, make yourself a palette chart. It’s simple and comes in handy!
If you want to spend more time getting to know your paints, you can swatch your colors and make a library.
You could also practice color mixing by painting a color wheel or a color mixing chart.
