How To Paint Wintry Trees
As you know, in order to get better at watercolors, you have to practice.
To be honest, I mistakenly thought I could skip the practice and successfully paint winter trees for the December Paint With Me Challenge piece. (If you watched the video you know how that went...not too well).
So I set out to do a little practice session. Turns out a 20 minute session made a HUGE difference!
In the video below, I share how I painted 3 different wintry trees during my mini practice session. They are easier to paint than they may look! I hope you watch the video and give it a try.

Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors
Colors Used:
Phthalo Green
French Ultramarine
Paynes Grey
Burnt Sienna
Raw Umber (for tree trunks)
Cerulean Blue Chromium (light sky wash)
