Watercolor Bougainvillea: Attempt #2
In this post, I’m sharing my second and final attempt at March’s Paint With Me challenge painting. I think I could have gone for one more attempt but decided to move on to painting other things instead.
This attempt felt more “successful” than the last one but there were still quite a few things that I think I could have done better. One example? The bougainvillea petals in this painting just look like pink leaves.
I shared a time-lapse of my process painting to YouTube along with some commentary on how I felt about this painting. You can click on the video below to watch it:

The more I paint with watercolors, the more I realize that I still have so much to learn. And the reason why I keep coming back to them is that every time I paint, it teaches me something about the medium as well as something about myself. Like what I enjoy painting and what I don’t enjoy painting. It also shows me that we are all capable of doing things that we may not think that we are capable of doing. If we try and we put in our time, effort, and joy, the things that we can create are so amazing.
As always thank you for reading & watching. Here’s to painting with more joy!
